Welcome to the Sons of Norway - Idun Lodge Website
Our goal is to promote Norwegian heritage and culture through a variety of activities and programs. There is something for everyone as our activities include language camps and classes, handicrafts, cooking classes, heritage programs, sports programs, travel opportunities, outreach programs and so much more. We hold a monthly meeting with a potluck and program on the first Wednesday of the month (except July and December). Members and non-members alike are welcome to attend.
A Group for Everyone
Even though the Sons of Norway focuses on Norway, we invite everyone to join us, regardless of gender, race, or age. The annual Masse Moro camp is a week-long summer camp for 9-15 year olds where campers learn about everything from Viking sports to the Norwegian language. Our lodge holds multiple food events including our famous annual Lutefisk dinner where the uniquely Norwegian dish is served.
An Organization of Philanthropy
The Sons of Norway has always had a strong history of giving. Every year, money is put into a scholarship fund and awarded to a University of Wisconsin-Madison student to aid in their studies abroad. One of the benefits of being a community-based organization is being able to give back to our community, and there are many opportunities available for those in need of assistance.
